What color is Energy? And how much does a Kilowatt weigh? How does CO2 look like? And how does saving energy feel like?
Resources become scarce and energy costs are rising. Households, companies, farms, investors and public institutions are required to get involved and take appropriate action. But many existing opportunities remain unexploited so far. The complexities of sustainable energy supplies seem too abstract to motivate to concrete action.
Your cross-disciplinary, cross-national group of students will research, analyze and present complex and abstract issues in a comprehensible, tangible manner. You will develop innovative solutions for the energetic urban redevelopment on the basis of the concrete research project "Real Test" - techniques and structures for the realization of energy efficiency in the city.
In this course you will get to know the main tools and theories of Design Thinking, Systems Thinking and connected approaches. You will train/develop skills such as: prospective, analytical thinking, scenario building, conceptual work, presentation skills, creative problem solving, team-work abilities.
