As part of the DesignThinkers Group US launch event I gave a talk about Continuous Innovation.
The talk was (and is) meant to trigger a conversation on innovation. There are many different opinions on this topic, and it has many dimensions I do not cover in this talk. But hopefully there is enough in it to agree or disagree with and I want to invite you to share your thoughts and opinions.
I want to thank all the fantastic people already sharing their opinion and thoughts with me via twitter and Facebook. Thanks for enabling me to keep discovering and learning! Keep it coming :-)

Comment by Paulo Peres on August 17, 2012 at 6:41 I read a phaser on hashtag #abc12 telling in event technology that remembered your video: "A focus on micro improvement allows success to accrue across the organisation"
Comment by Paulo Peres on August 17, 2012 at 6:32 I liked about your explanation, Arne. Congratulations. Could be a good theme for a book own. :)
Comment by PILAR SAURA on August 13, 2012 at 17:35 Hi Arne, I couldn't agree more with everything you said!
Wouldn't you add that we are not very fond of giving "explanations" about what we do? Just want to get our hands into the new project? I do believe that we should try to make an effort to share knowledge: otherwise all the literature about DT and innovation is... too theorical?

Hi Pilar, Thanks for the kind comment :-) I do have to say I have noting against academics... maybe I can be critical of the institutions, but only because I think they are so immensely important to our society and culture.
I think practitioners are not talking to much about DT, simply because we are running projects for the purpose of helping clients, not publications. And publishing about the finer details of our work is (most of the time) impossible since our most of clients are obviously not keen on sharing information about internal challenges or innovations.
Comment by PILAR SAURA on August 12, 2012 at 10:26 Thank you Arne, I find your project very necessary. I also find very interesting the difference that you pointed between DT practitioners and DT academics ...something to think about. Why is it so rare a DT practitioner talking about DT, innovation...?
