Amsterdam based Design Thinkers Academy has announced the College of Charleston will be the location of the first Design Thinkers Bootcamp to be held in the US.
Design Thinking is a formal method for practical, creative resolution of complex problems based upon the essential elements of empathy and creativity. Design Thinking is a system of overlapping spaces rather than a rigid sequence of steps, usually within a rapid paced process, fostered through a collaborative team.
The Bootcamp, March 7-11, 2016, will be a unique opportunity to learn the principles and practices of DesignThinking from a diverse team of internationally recognized coaches from the worlds of research, design, business and academia. The intensive, hands-on workshop will cover such key topics as Journey Mapping, Personas and Rapid Prototyping.
The purpose of DesignThinkersBootcamp is to equip attendees with powerful design tools and methods to reach professional and personal goals. Facilitating coaches will lead teams to tackle a specific design challenge, from the research phase to designing concepts.
Due to the hands-on nature of the workshop, attendance is limited.
