For those, “social innovation” is not only about the impact of products or services; it is about ‘the design of the world’. This can take into account design, decision-making and management processes which accept ongoing improvements. “Social innovation” is "an initiative, product or process that profoundly changes beliefs, basic routines, resource and authority flows of any social system in the direction of greater resilience. Successful social innovations have durability, impact and scale"
