there seems to be plenty of free space since they have extended it this year - maybe they could find us a space for a party - this is primarily a product design showcase but since its 'Design Week' I don't see why we shouldn't have a service design event too?

Arne, live|work team is on for this.... plus i will be with my wife and a london party will be the perfect way for her to blend with the city. 

In my opinion we should do something cool...  a relaxed environment not too much tasks or something... a perfect networking and experience sharing environment. Nice drinks is a must...

Hi Arne,

I don't know any of the organisers of 100% Design or Tent London but can scout around - I have several contacts in the Design Council who may be able to help introduce us. I am based in Birmingham so some of the London based Service Design members may be better positioned with local contacts and knowledge of the events, etc. Adding Service Design to a festival that is primarily product/industrial design focused could be interesting too - the world is an increasingly complex mix of complimentary products and services...

@James It would be great if we could be complementary to 100% design event or Ten London... Do you know people from these events? 

 

@ Francis That would be a great idea... But you might want to focus the energy during the JAM event on collaborating with the group on the main theme and the Global Jam community :-)

Tent London (the upcoming designer expo) is also on at The Truman Brewery in Brick Lane on 22-25 Sept - see: http://www.tentlondon.co.uk/ - this fringe festival area may have a good venue and potential sponsors...
