Hello!
My name is Damyana I am a graduate from Lancaster University, UK. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Design and a MSc in International Innovation in Design. I am currently looking for opportunities in Amsterdam or the UK. It is my desire to join a design consultancy, or a a business employing human-centred design/design thinking methods. I am interested in positions in both marketing and design, although my passion lies in design research and CX. I would be extremely grateful to anyone who has more knowledge/ideas about potential employment opportunities and is willing to share. Words of advice are welcomed as well, since finding an entry position in this filed proves to be very daunting.

Hi I'm Anuja Selvaraju, a graduate student at Academy of Art. I'm currently conducting academic research that focuses on Effective Creative Thinking as a part of my Graphic Design thesis development. This survey would help me define and reframe problem statement for my thesis and also to design effective deliverables.
Focus: Investigating the problems in understanding, application and accessibility of Design thinking from academic and commercial perspectives. The aim is to help understand the best practices and to align Design to the face paced competitive business world, vice a versa.

Hi Sudipa,
I'm not sure if I can answer your question but I'll try. There are a few schools offering a Master degree in Service Design.
However, my opinion is that Service Design is a team effort. A service is very complex and this no one can do alone. The key is collaboration across functions and departments.
So we set up teams of experts, but experts with an open mind and a broad interest. They are also Generalists and good facilitators. Thus a Service Design team can often use a person with a background in Industrial design. Just like it needs ICT, Marketing, Business and other functions.
If I were you I'd learn the skills of facilitation, be open minded and curious, learn other languages and learn the value of facilitating multidisciplinary teams.
Looking for a Design Thinking Teaching Assistant at University of St. Gallen
Hi. This is an open question to all.
I would like to know what sort of background or qualification service designers have?
Is it a specialized course that you can study(such as industrial design?). Or is it a skill that designers learn - ie can an industrial designer become a service designer?
I currently study industrial design so I am interested in learning more about how it can be applied to other fields. 'Design thinking' is a broad skill that is learned from many different fields of design.
