Hello, my interest is in developing DT-based materials for children in very varied contexts, including refugee children/youth - i've tinkered and piloted a bit here in madrid, and have come up with a rough list of further design challenges,an eclectic assortment that ranges from upcycling to floating cities to post-war playgrounds. I'm keenly interested in exploring the power of design to "empower" kids in challenging settings or circumstances - learning to use both sides of their brain to overcome problems in their environments that can in turn be turned into challenges.

Comment by Patrick Murray on April 22, 2011 at 3:00 I work with Michael Schurr who has recently joined this group. We are excited to receive any feedback that anyone may have on the Design Thinking Toolkit for Educators. We had a great time collaborating with IDEO as they developed the toolkit. We are also interested in any experiences you may have had with design thinking in your classroom.
