Comment by Robert Zlokower on May 4, 2012 at 18:23 Happy to join this group! Speaking of "roads for traveling" (from your group description), I'm researching for answers for the following question: What is the role of digital connectivity in transport, and how should the industry respond to this consumer expectation?
Does anyone have any thoughts? :)

@Cat, you are right and it is something we have to take into account.
The first meeting will aim to get together people who have a vision, drive and can "make things happen" for long term. It will be our task to make sure that this network system will create value for and with everyone involved.
@Jorge, we are thinking of a one day event
@Satu, wonderful! And mid June would be a good time. Otherwise we'll have to move it after the summer.
@Marc, thank you so much! Your help will be extremely welcome :-))
Comment by Satu Miettinen on March 16, 2012 at 10:17 I'll definately join and Lucerne sounds good. For us, towards mid June is better as we have entrance tests in the beginning of June.
Comment by Jorge Rodriguez on March 16, 2012 at 9:31 Sounds good. but in June we are still in classes probably in Amsterdam. How long would it be?
Comment by Marc Stickdorn on March 16, 2012 at 9:16 Regarding funding, in the long run (after the first or maybe even a few initial meetings), we might think about seeking funding from the European Commission for our initiative. There are often EU funding programs for European educational networks. Often the funding also covers the invitation of external experts to meetings/workshops/conferences. If we have the right actors in it, this might be an option for the future. I have some experience with these kind of calls (e.g. our current service design research project and conference this summer www.servicedesigntourism.com is co-funded by the EU with 330.000€) and would be happy to help.

Thanks everyone :-))
We are currently setting a date for a first "founders meet-up" to co-create (we practice what we preach ;-)) a roadmap for the network.
The first meetup will be hosted by Jan-Erik Baars (Head of BA Design Management Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts) in Luzern Switzerland.
We are looking for a good date for the event. And we are considering June. What do you think?
Comment by Manuel Martínez Torán on March 15, 2012 at 23:49 Good initiative! I would be very interested in participating in this network. Have you thought about a proposal to present in EU? Perhaps the best approach would be along the lines of entrepreneurship and business creation.
Comment by Jeroen Spoelstra on March 9, 2012 at 17:38 I am all in! Working on realizing a service design/ design thinking minor program at the moment in the Netherlands. I really would collaborate with Universities (of Applied Science) in the Netherlands and abroad.
