Integrating Social Innovation Platform OpenIDEO with School Curricula

Hello Everyone,

"OpenIDEO is a online social platform where people design better, together for social good. It's an online platform for creative thinkers: the veteran designer and the new guy who just signed on, the critic and the MBA, the active participant and the curious lurker. Together, this makes up the creative guts of OpenIDEO."

I think OpenIDEO is an amazing platform for learning essential skills such as designing, creatvity, problem-solving, prototyping, teamwork and collaboration.

Currently, a challenge is being conducted on the website. The challenge is:

How can we equip young people with the skills, information and opportunities to succeed in the world of work?

For this challenge, I have posted a possible solution. Surprisingly, I propose OpenIDEO itself as one of the feasible solutions to this challenge. The concept has now been shortisted for refinement.

I would be grateful to you all if you can build on this concept at OpenIDEO. Your opinions and views- as teachers and educators-would be very valuable. If OpenIDEO can be integrated into school work, then I think students will learn a variety of skills. OpenIDEO can acts a bridge between theoretical and practical learning. So can you all please provide suggestions on why OpenIDEO might be useful and how it can become a part of school curricula.
